This policy explains what Iron Flux (broil.top) does with information when you visit. The site is a publication: there is no account, no comment box, and no personal information is required to read anything here.

What we collect directly

Only what you send. If you email us, the mail provider records the sender address, the time and the message body; that is used to answer you, kept in the mailbox, never used for ad targeting and never sold. Separately, the web server keeps a request log with IP address, time, URL, user agent and referrer for troubleshooting and abuse prevention; it is retained for no more than 30 days.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself does one storage-related thing: when you switch language or set the bench dials, a preference may be written to your browser's local storage so the next visit starts in the same state. That record carries no identifier and does not track you across sites.

The site is written for adults, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

International transfer and retention

Servers and mail services are located in the United States and Hong Kong; by using the site you accept that access data may be processed there. Logs are kept for up to 30 days and correspondence for up to 24 months after a matter is closed, unless a longer period is legally required.

Changes to this policy

Material changes move the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Turning on advertising or analytics counts as a material change and this page will be updated before it goes live.
